Milan's iconic centrepiece is the magnificent Duomo, one of Europe's largest Gothic cathedrals with 135 marble spires piercing the sky. After Valencia's lighter architectural style, the intricate façade and soaring interior feel powerfully grand. The rooftop terraces offer expansive views across the Lombard plains, and the cathedral houses centuries of artistic treasures.

The signature dish is Risotto alla Milanese, infused with saffron and bone marrow, embodying northern Italian comfort and elegance. Equally iconic is Cotoletta alla Milanese, a tender breaded veal cutlet served with creamed potatoes or seasonal vegetables.
Osso Buco, braised veal shanks in white wine, is a hearty classic often paired with risotto. Mondeghili—small fried meatballs made from leftover roasted meat—are beloved street food and trattoria staples. Don't miss Panettone, the festive fruit-studded cake that originated in Milan, or Torta Paradosso, a traditional local dessert.
